Admission Process

Eligibility Criteria

Graduate with 50% Marks (In Case of SC/ST 45% Marks)

ISBM-G conducts its own admission test called ISBM-G entrance Test (IET). The test will be objective type, maximum duration is 2 hours and carries 120 marks. The test consists of-

1) General Awareness

2) Numerical Ability

3) Reasoning

4) English Language

Each section carries equal marks (30 each) and must be attempted. The written test is followed by a Group Discussion (GD) carrying 14 Marks and a Personal Interview (P.I.) carrying 10 marks.

There will be again personal assessment on the basis of academic records of the candidate where maximum 6 points will be awarded as follows:-

1) Matriculation                                   1 point if above 50% marks.

                                                              2 points if above 60%marks.

2) Higher Secondary                            1 point if above 50% marks.

                                                              2 points if above 60%marks.

3) Degree Level                                   1 point if above 50% marks.

                                                              2 points if above 60%marks.

Written Test( Duration : 2 hours) 120 Marks
Group Discussion   14 Marks
Personal Interview   10 Marks
Personal Assessment (Academic)     6 Marks
Total 150 Marks

Those students who has got good marks in CAT/MAT, they needn't have to appear for entrance test (I.E.T.)

MAT score should be 500 or above

CAT score should be 50 percentile or above

Examination

(As per rules & Regulations of the Dibrugarh University)

The Examination consists of three parts

A) Semester Examination

B) Internal Assessment

C) Continuous Assessment

The pattern of the examination is as follows:-

1. Each Paper of examination will carry 100 marks, out of which 30 marks will be given (awarded) in internal assessment. The internal assessment is based on the following manner:-

Attendance     5 Marks
Quiz/Seminar/GD   10 Marks
Class Test   10 Marks
Home Assignment     5 Marks
Total   30 Marks

2. The duration of written test is 3 hrs. for each paper and will carry 70 marks for each (paper)

3. The project work in the final semester will carry 100 marks in total out of which 30 marks shall be allotted for Viva-Voce Examination which will be conducted by faculty members in the presence of external examiner. The remaining 70 marks will be awarded on the basis of examination of the text of the project report,

4. The minimum marks for passing each paper of the semester examination is 40%, The aggregate for passing each semester examination is 50%

Attendance

Aggregate 75% attendance of total classes consider as eligible to appear in each

semester and examination. Marks for attendance will be awarded as follows:-

Admission to Second Year Class

As per regulations of the Dibrugarh University, admission to second year of  MBA programme shall be open to those who have cleared successfully at least 10 papers offered for the first year comprising semester I and semester II. However, such students will have to clear the remaining papers of the first year along with second year examination and no separate classes will be facilitated for such papers.

 

Award Of  MBA Degree

Successful students shall be awarded the Degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA) by Dibrugarh University. Candidates securing 60% and above will be awarded First class and those securing 50% or more but less than 60% will be awarded second class.
